Tirlan family fun zone at Walton

Running daily on Saturday and Sunday, join the fun in the Tirlán Family Fun Zone where you can get up close with and personal to the animals at the mobile farm, meet the birds of prey, plant a seedling, enjoy the kids rides and take part in wellness taster sessions in this relaxed family space all in Walton Park.
NO GARDEN? NO PROBLEM!
The Waterford Sustainable Living Initiative, better known as Slí, will
be returning to the West Waterford Festival of Food with our No Garden? No Problem! mini workshops for young people wishing to plant their own tomato, sunflower and whatever else we find growing. Slí is based in Waterford City and focuses on sustainable living, responsible consumption and helping fight the impacts of climate change. Come join us for a chat and go home with a plant.
GROW YOUR OWN
A horticulturist from the award-winning Tirlán Garden Centre, will be on hand on Saturday to help children plant vegetable seeds into pots, to bring home and enjoy watching them grow.
AGRI AWARE MOBILE ANIMAL FARM
Saturday and Sunday | 11am – 3 pm
Visit the working animals at this interactive, educational, and fun mobile farm with pigs, sheep, a goat, hens and chicks. Farmer Tom will be on hand each day to answer all your questions.
Saturday 11am – 3pm
Will be there on the day, with their interactive and informative
static display of trained Hawks, Falcons, and Owls. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these amazing and noble creatures and learn a little about their amazing lifestyles.
